The “12 Commandments” of the Israel Lobby
By Lawrence Swaim | InFocus News* | August, 2010
Rep. Joe Sestak of Pennsylvania is the latest to take heat from the Israel Lobby, mainly because he once attended a meeting with the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), and also refused to sign a letter written by AIPAC. So they created a TV ad that tries to tie him to terrorism. Never mind the fact that Sestak acted on his conscience in both instances—anybody who flaunts the dictates of the Israel Lobby has to be punished.
The people who are promoting this latest experiment in intimidation are pretty open about what they’re doing, and why. “We’re the pro-Israel wing of the pro-Israel community,” exults neo-con godfather William Kristol. So here’s the crazy part—we’re not supposed to acknowledge that there’s an Israel Lobby, even though its main players talk openly about their activities! No, as Abraham Foxman pointed out in his book “The Deadliest Lies,” the existence of an Israel Lobby is a scurrilous falsehood made up by anti-Semites.
Got that? There’s no Lobby, but you’d better do what the Lobby says.
To help readers with this Orwellian dilemma, I offer these “12 Commandments of the Israel Lobby,” to be memorized if possible in a venue featuring the theme song of “The Twilight Zone” in the background.
1. The Israel Lobby does not exist. In those cases where it does exist, its conclusions cannot be questioned.
2. All criticisms of Israel are false. They are invented by anti-Semites, self-hating Jews, and terrorists. Also by crypto-Nazis, apostates and liars.
3. All critics of Israel must be punished by extracting a public apology. Some offenders may be required to apologize more than once, if they do not grovel sufficiently the first time around.
4. Those who criticize Israel and do not publicly apologize must be endlessly harassed, and fired from their jobs if possible. In academia they must be denied tenure.
5. Any Arab or Muslim that criticizes Israel is a terrorist, and deserves to die.
6. To praise anybody who ever criticized Israel is the same thing as criticizing Israel. Just as all things Israeli are good, anybody that criticizes Israel is bad.
7. In any conflict involving Israelis and Palestinians, the Israelis are always the victims. If an Israeli hurts a Palestinian, the Israeli is still the victim because the Palestinian is trying to make the Israeli feel bad.
8. Israel/Palestine is never debated. That implies another side to the issue, and there is only one side. Therefore debate is suppressed or disrupted.
9. The United Nations, the World Court, the various UN agencies, every human rights organization and non-governmental organization in the world that isn’t approved by the NGO Monitor [an Israeli screening operation] is anti-Semitic. That is because these organizations are likely to criticize Israel’s human rights record—and as any fool knows, that means they’re anti-Semitic.
10. The interests of the US are exactly the same as the interests of Israel. If they aren’t, the interests of Israel take precedence.
11. Any war that the US is likely to be involved in must be evaluated from the point of view of its helpfulness to the current government of Israel.
12. Anybody who threatens to make sense while criticizing Israel must be immediately shouted down. If shouting doesn’t work, screaming and crying are recommended. As a last resort, one must declare that criticisms of Israel are making one feel “unsafe.”
These rules, while meant to be humorous, reflect a reality that is petty, tiresome and essentially undemocratic. Thereore let us answer them by answering the call from Palestinian civil society for international Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israeli apartheid. The purpose is to end the longest and most brutal military occupation of our time, and in so doing resolve the one issue most likely to cause religious war. But there is another reason to support BDS. The Israel Lobby operates as a thought police, spending millions of dollars to stop anybody in public life who would have a candid discussion of American interests in the Middle East. For this reason, we must counter the intimidation of the Israel Lobby in order to restore free speech and freedom of association to American discourse.

The Forcible Transfer of the Palestinian People from the Jordan Valley
By Mercedes Melon | Badil Resource Center | Spring-Summer 2012
Forcible transfer and deportation are terms that commonly evoke images of people being loaded onto trucks or trains or violently driven away.1 Forcible transfer, however, may also take the form of involuntary or induced movement of people resulting from the creation of insecurity, disorder, or other adverse conditions, for the purpose of, or resulting in such migration. Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits all forcible transfers. Only the security of the population of the occupied territory or imperative military reasons can exceptionally justify total or partial evacuation of an area under occupation. Those evacuated shall be transferred back to their homes as soon as hostilities in the area in question have ceased.
A key criterion to assess the forcible nature of the displacement is whether or not the transfer is the result of the individual’s own genuine choice to leave.2 As developed in the case law of the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), forcible transfer is understood as the forced displacement of persons from where they reside to a place that is not of their own choosing and “includes threat of force or coercion, such as that caused by fear of violence, duress, detention, psychological oppression or abuse of power against such person or persons or another person, or by taking advantage of a coercive environment.”3 The ongoing forcible transfer of the Palestinian people from or within the Jordan Valley in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT) is a clear example of this kind of transfer (sometimes misleadingly called “indirect transfer”).
The facts speak for themselves. Although there is uncertainty as to population levels in the past, it is estimated that between 250,000 and 300,000 Palestinians lived in the Jordan Valley on the eve of the 1967 Israeli military occupation.4 After more than 40 years of occupation, the Palestinian population in the area has been dramatically reduced to 56,000.5 However, the displacement of Palestinian people from their homeland is not a phenomenon relegated to the past, but an ongoing process… continue

This is an excellant article,Ill be passing it on!
Could not help seeing a similar pattern of WESTERN Vs. AFRICAN WORLD in this brilliant construct. The ISRAEL Vs. ARABIAN construct appeals to ISLAM, for Africa it was by appeal to RACE, NOT RELIGION.
To my knowledge both Arabs and Israelis never lobbied for justice after the enslavement (destruction of religion and national freedoms),&the ultimate destruction of her nationhood, with pieces of it shared like bread at the Berlin conferrence.
Euro-crats and NGOs under the new united Euro front makes the African situation unattenable.
So no comments from me- expect to praise it as an engaging piece of logical analysis.
I need undivided attention to what is going on in my own backyard – how to loosen the stranglehold over Africa, how to survive as an equal, successful, independent NATION within an INTER-NATIONAL system. With religion and sovereignty (traditional ties such as royalty etc) gone, i feel bereft as to where to begin heal and change the fate of my race.
It is negative energy and penders to emotional outburst. It still remains urgent for all Africans to respond and act accordingly. Whether you can handle it in a positive energy and suppressed emotions or senstions – then well and good for yah. We still remain with the same sordid problem. How to make that knowledge and its vision for the future solid and viable.
That is it in a nutshell: Israel is a lie in itself and needs a mountain of lies and fear to protect it collapsing.
Just so everyone knows, Rod Serling was an ultra-militant JEW. During WW II, he enlisted in the Army to “go kill Hitler,” but he was sent to the Pacific theatre.

US Congress Global Anti-Semitism Act Passed in 2004 to Stop Criticism to Israel and its Supporters
By Paul J. Balles
Redress, Al-Jazeerah & ccun.org, February 14, 2010
“Anti-Semitic” – the label that stops criticism
Paul J. Balles views the Global Anti-Semitism Review Act, passed by the US Congress in 2004, which defines any criticism of Israel or the Israel lobby in the US as “anti-Semitism” and is in fact an unconstitutional violation of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.
If you indulge in ad hominem attacks (attacking the person rather than the issue), you can expect the same in return. The issues related to the anti-Semitic label are many.
First, the expression “anti-Semitic” is a misnomer. It’s defined as “hating Jews or Judaophobia”. The label “anti-Semitism” is wrong because not all Jews are Semites, and many Arabs are.
In 2004, the US Congress passed the Global Anti-Semitism Review Act. The Act defines a person as being anti-Semitic for holding any of a number of beliefs.
My comments follow each of the 14 items supposedly revealing anti-Semitism.
1. Any assertion, “that the Jewish community controls government, the media, international business and the financial world.”
According to this, it doesn’t matter whether the assertion is true or not. Truth is not an issue. Simply making such a statement violates the Act. In itself, that fact provides strong evidence of control of the US government.
2. The expression of “Strong anti-Israel sentiment”.
Any criticism of Israel can thus be considered anti-Semitic. Israel can mangle Gaza and get away with it.
3. Expressing “Virulent criticism” of Israel’s leaders, past or present.
Menachem Begin may have led the Irgun in the slaughter and dispossession of thousands of Palestinians, but it’s anti-Semitic to say so.
4. Any criticism of the Jewish religion or its religious leaders with its emphasis on the Talmud and Kabbala.
It’s perfectly acceptable, as free speech, to vilify Islam, but any criticism of Judaism violates the Act.
5. Any criticism of the United States government and Congress for being under the undue influence by the Jewish-Zionist community, which would include Jewish organizations such as AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee).
Truth matters not to the ridiculous legislators who passed this ludicrous act.
6. Any criticism of the Jewish-Zionist community for promoting globalism or what some call the “New World Order”.
When you can’t criticize a propaganda machine for its promotions, both free speech and democracy are dead.
7. Placing any blame on Jewish leaders and their followers for inciting the Roman crucifixion of Christ.
In order to accommodate the anti-Semitism label, simply rewrite history.
8. Citing any facts that could in any way diminish the “six million” figure of Jewish holocaust victims.
I violate the act simply by citing the fact that five million non-Jews died at the hands of the Nazis. This goes beyond stifling free speech.
9. Claiming that Israel is a racist state.
That’s not a claim. It’s a fact. Israel is full of racist laws. It insists on preserving its racist character and its right to impose apartheid in the West Bank and Gaza.
10. Making any claim that there is a “Zionist conspiracy”.
A rational provision for such a claim would insist on evidence as proof of its validity. To disallow making such a claim is existentially (Israelis love that word) dictatorial.
11. Offering proof that Jews and their leaders created Communism and the Bolshevik revolution in Russia.
It just became illegal to offer proof. Minds are made up. Don’t confuse them with the facts.
12. Making derogatory statements about Jewish persons.
Why limit it to Jewish persons?
13. Asserting that spiritually disobedient Jews do not have the Biblical right to re-occupy Palestine.
Why limit it to the spiritually disobedient?
14. Making any allegations of Mossad involvement in the 9/11 attack.
I just did in a column published a week ago.
The Act passed by the US Congress is an unconstitutional violation of the First Amendment to the Constitution. I’m a critic of Israel when they commit wrongs and a critic of America when it does wrong. Despite Congress, that’s not anti-Semitic.
