Israeli archeologist: The finds in Khirbet Qeiyafa could belong to an Arab civilization

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM — Israel Finkelstein, a noted Israeli archeologist and academic at Tel Aviv university, questioned the Jewish claims about the discovery of King David palace in Khirbet Qeiyafa, west of occupied Jerusalem, expressing his belief that the finds belong to an ancient Arab civilization.
Finkelstein said that it could be true that the site discovered dates back to the eighth or tenth century BC, but it could have been built in that period by the Palestinians, the Arab Canaanites or other peoples in the region.
He said he believes that the site was probably built by other ancient kingdoms in the region, especially since there is no conclusive physical evidence suggesting it is the palace of King David.
Israeli archeologists had claimed to have discovered the site of King David Palace in Khirbet Qeiyafa, according to the Jerusalem Post. The report also said that the diggings have been going on for seven years at the site and had revealed two huge Jewish buildings, a palace and a storehouse.

Let them keep on digging to justify land theft and murder. At least some of them believe in a God and a God of Justice. The Universe arcs towards Justice and Truth. Though men may seek to deceive with lies in the generation that they are existent within, without truth, there is a price that will be paid by a later generation. No matter how long it takes–the universe is bending towards truth. Man by nature is impatient.

The comments by Dr. Finkelstein indicate to me that he is foremost a seeker after truth and is not feeding the conventional line of justification for the existence of Israel.. As an American with no particular religious background, I can see how the actions of the Israeli zionists seek to make the biblical prophesies into reality. What they actually do is to perpetuate the myths in an eternal circle leading back to the book as the truth, which I believe is partially historical but also allegorical and fiction written for a specific audience. I love archaeology and have read about these kinds of discoveries with great hope that some verifiable truths will come out.. whereby ALL God’s peoples will finally understand we are one with The Source and stop fighting each other’s right to live in peace and harmony, wherever we may be.

Agreed…Dr Finkelstein and associate Neil Silberman in “The Bible Unearthed” (2002) refute with precision many foundational myths..including examination of what was then considered King David’s kingdom……it’s a wonderful text…adds considerable insight and remains at the center of much controversy with state archaeology agency, as you can imagine.
