Elderly German Lady sentenced to 10 months in prison for doubting Auschwitz extermination claims

Hamburg District Court, Nov. 11, 2015 — 87-year-old Ursula Haverbeck has been sentenced to imprisonment in Germany for doubting that people were “exterminated” by “gassing” in the Nazi concentration camp in Auschwitz.

The defendant, in good spirits, reiterated her doubts in the courtroom. She arrived without a lawyer, and defended herself. Some fifty of her supporters crowded the courtroom and the hall outside.

She was accused of giving an interview to the German magazine Panorama in which she stated that Auschwitz was not an extermination camp but a labor camp. The mass murder of Jews had not taken place, she said.

Haverbeck, former chairwoman of the now-banned freethought association, “Collegium Humanum,” told the judge,”Here, I stand.”

Turning to the prosecutor she asked, “How do you as a lawyer prove the accusation that Auschwitz was an extermination camp?” Her request for a revisionist historian to give evidence that at Auschwitz no one had been gassed, was rejected by Judge Jönsson who stated: “It is futile to argue with people who do not accept the facts.”

The German government prosecutor maintained that the defendant’s “fanatical delusion” had not abated and that, despite her advanced age, Ursula Haverbeck must be sentenced to 10 months in prison without parole. The judge agreed and the sentence was imposed.

In 2009, Haverbeck was fined thousands of dollars in the District Court of Bad Oeynhausen, for having given offense to Charlotte Knobloch, president of the Central Council of Jews.

  1. You know something is terribly wrong in this “Free and Democratic” world when you are bound by law to believe ONLY the ‘official” version of something that happened around 75 years ago when most of us weren’t even born. It’s even MORE worrying that this “official” story is repeated to us endlessly, almost every second day of our lives.
According to the records of the International Red Cross, 270,300 people died in “work Camps” in Germany in WWII.
I have no idea what happened, I wasn’t born yet, but I do tend to favour the RED CROSS, over the Mainstream Media, who have an appalling record when it comes to telling the ‘truth’…

  2. Behold the ironies of this well-written piece: ” ‘It is futile to argue with people who do not accept the facts.’ ” and “…for having given offense to Charlotte Knobloch, president of the Central Council of Jews.”, as just two. The good German prosecutor and judge might consider the “facts” of Zionist-Jewish ethnic cleansing and oppression, ongoing every second, of the people of Palestine and the historic “offense” levied on the hapless Palestinians and their homeland (a “prison without parole,” for sure), greased by German “reparation” (welfare) payments to the Zionists and their Zioland that will be ongoing for time immemorial, before they condemn to prison a dissident old lady who dares to take on the establishment. It’s all part of the ongoing psychosis, where the crazies are in charge of the asylum, black is white, up is down, and the (purported)victim has become the victimizer. May Ursula Haverbeck continue to hold her head and her moral standards high.

  3. If those of us, in the US, who if asked about the assassination of President Kennedy, who do not accept Lee Harvey Oswald as the assassin, the conclusion of the Warren Commission; where imprisoned for independance of mind, are imprisoned for political heresay; the total would be in the millions.

Or more recently, if all of us in the US were to be imprisoned for not believing the assinine scenario produced by the true terrorist with the conspiracy of silence by congress, with the notable exception of Representative Cynthia McKinney, and a bogus, bullshit, mass media mind fuck by TV networks, the corporate press, and the taboo that must be omnipresent in the classroom (see me after class) gag-order I surmise is in place, and should be challenged by curious students with impunity in the interest of education, freedom of thought, and respect for free inquiry.

The irony is, they who repress Freedom of Speech are the criminals, for it is the Constitutionally Protected First Amendment Right and I believe required responsibility of “good citizenship” above and beyond voting for one craven cowardly conformist or another! Oh, the assassination of President Kennedy was carried out by a combination of the Secret Service, Vice President Johnson, agents of the CIA, and a conspiciously silent mass media. There were Israeli motives and covert instigation, along with organized crime.

Now, should I have to do time in prison for my reasoned opinion(s)? The answer is no, but the government has to answer lingering questions on 9/11 for sure. Especially those in office at the time. The assassination of Martin Luther King is an open case since James Earl Ray was acquitted. I surmise the assassin was Jesse Jackson, working with the FBI. Meaning Lyndon B. Johnson is the assassin behind the assassinations of John and Robert Kennedy, as well as Martin Luther King. In fact, I am sure of it!

  4. ‘Her request for a revisionist historian to give evidence that at Auschwitz no one had been gassed, was rejected’

I am not an expert on the holocaust, and have no opinion on its details. However, surely I am not the only one who finds this suppression of thought sinister and worrying?

Given Germany’s total ignorance of the concept of free speech, and its determined support of the ethnic cleansing of Palestine, it’s hard to see how Germany today is any different from Hitler’s Germany.
