CIA Documents Confirm Yom Kippur War Was An Act of Agression By Israel

Penny For Your Thoughts | January 20, 2017

From the CIA document dump earlier this week: Online Now! 12 Million Pages of Declassifed CIA Documents I read all four documents Ynet is claiming demonstrate some imminent danger against Israel.

What is actually written there leaves one with the impression that Israel desired and planned for the war- despite the US asking them, more than once, not to preemptively strike other nations. And clearly reporting that Israel had begun to mobilize troops in advance of their desired war.

Considering all the recent Israeli aggression against Syria present day. The invasion of Lebanon. I find it impossible to believe that Israel was anything but the aggressor in this instance.

Despite the spin put on this news by Ynet.

The very first document Ynet points to:

Intelligence briefing for Nixon on October 6, 1973 Intelligence briefing for Nixon on October 6, 1973

There is NO information to confirm Israeli reports of an imminent attack-
“We have no information that would confirm the Israeli reports of an imminent attack”
In fact there is proof of a partial mobilization of Israeli Defense forces already being underway
“He said that a partial mobilization of the Israeli Defense Force is underway”

The second document used by Ynet, again fails to demonstrate an attack is imminent against Israel- It may demonstrate that there was going to be an attack against Syria? If we should assume citizens of the Soviet Union were  actually being evacuated? Which is what this document does. “probably”?

CIA report before the war broke out

The third document doesn’t confirm imminent attack either?

The US asks Israel to exercise restraint
The US asks Israel to take no preemptive action
The US opposes preemptive action on the part of Israel

Kissinger's conversations on October 6

The fourth document tells us only about Israel’s intelligence.
“I was notified that the Israeli’s have what they consider to be hard information…”
“Urgently communicating with the Israelis, Warning them against any pre emptive attack”
And Egypt expected an Israeli provocation..

 Kissinger's message to Nixon
Reading all those documents for myself, suggests to me that Yom Kippur was a desired war, planned by the Israeli’s against Egypt and Syria.
Not sure why Ynet is using these to bolster the official narrative?
Ynet :  The morning of the coordinated attack on Israel, US assessments flipped from presuming war was not on the horizon to frantic attempts to prevent Syria and Turkey from attacking the Jewish state, which was warned off any preemptive strike.

Read the documents and decide for yourself... In all four documents it is clear Israel has prepared for an aggressive move and the US is repeatedly calling for restraint. Warning Israel not to move preemptively. Egypt expecting an Israeli provocation..

  1. Late Spring or early Summer, 1972, when I was still with the 82nd Airborne, one day we got a drill, which we’d had in the past, to see how long our brigade took to get its personnel to the nearby Pope Air Base. One there, some times we’d jump, others, just get sent back to the base, since Army command was seeing how long it took to assemble.

But one drill was different. For starters, we were issued live ammo. When we got to Pope, there were C-141’s and C-130’s taxing, some getting filled with jeeps or crates of combat gear. After about one hour of watching this, some in my squad asked what was going on, so I went to my Lieutenant and asked. He told me we were going to be dropped in Israel’s Negev Desert and see combat. Being a dumbass 19 yo, I saluted, went back to my squad and had them double-check their gear. After about 4-5 hours of this, it was called off, no reason and we went back to Fort Bragg.

My guess i that Israel was planning on another war of aggression against its neighbors and was going to drag the USA into the mess. But Nixon was running for reelection and someone probably told him it wouldn’t look good to have American kids coming home in body bags right before the Fall election, so Nixon canceled the Zionist party.

    • “so Nixon canceled the Zionist party”…….Nixon stood up to Israel? It probably wouldn’t happen today. Israel(Netanyahu) seems to hold the USA in contempt these days, and when the Congress gave Netanyahu 25 standing ovations some time ago, it seemed to indicate a completely grovelling capitulation by America’s elected representatives. It was shameful,

    • I suppose that dates to just prior to the big WAPO watergate expose.

      • The ‘official’ Watergate story, about burglars breaking in to steal DNC files never made any sense. Nixon was cruising to victory, there was no need to steal the files. So yes, what happened to Nixon was probably payback.

Nixon stood up to Israel only because it might cost him the election, as it was, it cost him the presidency.

  2. This surely would fall in the same realm as the 1967 war, when nearly all Americans believed that Egypt started the war. Now, it’s generally agreed that the aggressor was the Zioentity so-called Israel. Begin himself admitted it in a statement circa 1980.

    • The 1967 War? When Israel’s Air Force attacked the USS Liberty(Clearly flying an American flag)in the Mediterranean Sea, killing over 30 American sailors and injuring many others? And the ‘Mighty’ USA said and did nothing, to punish Israel?
There is something terribly wrong with the way Israel treats the USA as its ‘Dog’…….

      • Brian, the Liberty massacre was collateral damage to the Zioentity’s aggression, and the failure to demand and obtain accountability is a continuing terrible blot on my country. Your Australia, Canada, Britain, France et al are, in various degrees, also cowed by and subservient to their respective Zionist lobbies.

I don’t know if Aletho News accepts links, and I can’t guarantee that this will work for you, but here is a program from my local public-access cable TV system. I hope you’ll watch the entire hour, but if you scroll over to 29:13, you’ll see me discoursing with as much passion as I was able to muster on numerous issues of the Palestinians’ torment, and the Liberty is a prominent part of the whole. I’m the interviewee, my friend is the interviewer/videographer, and he likes this interview (from circa August 2015) so much that he splices it into programs right and left — were getting literally hundreds of air hours, livestream and, as here, via archive: http://olelo.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?view_id=25&clip_id=58444 .

        • Thanks for the link. Unfortunately it was very “stop start” but I got the part at 29 minutes(on and off) My computer must be slightly incompatible with that site. I agree with you that Australia(Canada and Britain) are subject to the same ‘influence’ that the USA is, although, it has SO much more influence in the USA. It’s quite good here in Australia, no one even knows we’re here, and quite frankly, that’s OK……..
